Cherry blossoms~~

The cherry blossom season is already over, but hey it's better to post the pics late than never! 8D
The cutie on the left belongs to ToriSohva, right is my Chinami.
Sadly the weather was super weird on the day when we were having this shoot, I did some heavy brightening for some the pics afterwards. xC
Also fukapii took some of the photos derpz. The better ones of course.

( 」。╹o╹。)」

Uh oh who is that red head??
Yes, she is my MIO Pullip Marisa. She is still alive and still here!!
Poor girl just does hardly get any attention. Now it happened because I was sewing yukata for my Azones, but the prototype ended up too big. Apparently the fit was ok for Marisa, so she got it. And since now Marisa was the only doll in the house with a yukata, she get to go out for cherry blossom shooting! 8D Yattaneee.

Hello, I'm a bonus pic.
Doll with a doll of her own?
I assume that is the current trend.
The nekkid fellow is ElfinDoll Mayo, funny little thing.

Miki's arrival!

Today I happened to have a day off school. Good thing that I also woke up early, the doorbell rang around 8AM and tadaaaaa I got a box!
My Mandarake "I'm only testing" order arrived.
Apparently it worked!

Tadaaa!
Haruka, bring the weapons!

H: Haiii! here comes!

H: Please be careful!

H:We could start studying Japanese with these newspapers.
M: Maybe, maybe not...

H: No pictures, this might be dangerous!
Looks like someone is suffocating there...

H: Hellooo! No worries, we will get you out of there soon!

?: Ummm.... Hi!

?: What a trip! Has anyone seen my shoes?

H: These were in the box with some other packages!

?: Yay, my shoes!
H: What should we do with the other stuff...
?: I don't need them all right now. Just hair bows!

?: Thadaaaam, hair bow magic!

?: Miki is ready to explore!
H: Yay, welcome to Finland Miki!

H: This concludes the very short arrival of Miki! Thank you for joining us!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
These super cute booklets came with the doll. x) The doll maintenance book doesn't have anything too important explained in it, they show stuff like how to comb the dolls hair... :D But that's cute!
I think I'm in love with Miki. u__u
I might have a thing for red hair. And maids! And oooh red haired maids!
Still need to figure out a background story for Miki. She came from Akihabara, so I thought that maybe she used to work in maid cafe. x) Or she might also be an anime otaku, who loves to dress up as maid! Both would work as a reason for her to wear that uni. But she will get some other clothes too, someday.
Aaand I'm not too good at making stories anyway, so probably her background story won't even matter. x)
I saw Strawberry short cake Sahra in display shelf of Azone shop when visiting Japan, and I liked it right away. x)  I'm super happy that I bought her now!
Otherwise I'm sure it would have happened like with my first BJD "crush" Unoa Lusis. I didn't get to buy one in the beginning of my doll hobby, but ended up buying Lusis many years later. Now I saved myself from all those years of waiting and drooling this Sahra from time to time. xD
Now I try to contain myself from buying more dolls in some time. (Even thought I do want an army of Azone dolls!)
I should concentrate on doing things with my current dolls, and start knitting for them more actively again. My secret wish would be to attend LDoll again this year. Let's hope I can make it!
I'll try to keep updating this blog more frequently, maybe that could be my new years resolution?
Weekly would be awesome, but we'll see... :D
Bonus blooper! These fellows aren't too good at standing! D8
Second Azone! Himeno~
I bought my second Azone Pureneemo second hand -  and from Finland!
Earlier I kinda thought that there isn't too many people in Finland who are into Azone dolls, but oh how wrong I was. x) Luckily!
Thanks to one person in Finnish BJD community, I was directed to Finnish Azone group in Facebook! :D Azone Finland, if someone is interested. There is about ~30 people in the community. Not a huge amount, but still!
These dolls are so cute that they need more love.
I saw the For Sale-post for this doll earlier when I joined there, but i didn't have money untill I got my tax refunds came in December. x) Lucky for me the seller still had this! :D
So this was a Xmas gift for myself? Something like that.
She did arrive to me already in December, but I'm slow like that.
Box opening successful!
I probably won't be using this black outfit for her at all. I like my dolls in more casual clothing.
The most important part for me in choosing a doll is the face, eye color and hair color/style. x) I tend to just storage all full set outfits lol.
My first Azone Pureneemo was S size, this one is M. I'm not sure yet do i like the M size better or not, but we'll see. So far I like it, but it might be just because it's new and interesting. x)
And OMG I got a package of replace hands in different poses with the doll! 8D Those are great.
Thank you so much previous-owner-san. <3
I haven't yet thought any name for her. I kind of would like to call her just Himeno, but would it be boring? And I can't do that with my first Azone doll who I bought in parts, she doesn't have any character name to begin with. I have to think about this. But probably Himeno will be a big sister for my first Azone.
Yes, she doesn't have a name either... I'm so bad at names! @__@
Maybe I'll go with J-pop idol names, like I decided to do with my Unoa girls.
Could Himeno be Haruka? :D Maybe. I kinda like that. (Kudou Haruka, from Morning Musume'15)
Hi! I'm Haruka!
Ps. I might or might not be getting my third Azone Pureneemo in near future...
It might or might not be someone red haired, whose pic was in my Japan post...
Err, I'm just testing out ordering from Mandarake!! Right??
Dollies in Japan~
If you know me at all you might have noticed that I'm very slow at updating my blog. Buut anyways!
I was visiting Japan at spring. It was my first time in Japan and so far the only time I have been there.
But it was fun and awesome and everything! Still so exited! I want to go back!
I'm not going to make a full-length post about the whole Japan trip since it was some time ago already, but I wanted to share some doll related stuff.
At Akihabara we visited Volks Tenshi no Sumika. It was dedicated to Super Dollfie (BJD) I think, but there was lots of Dollfie Dream things too. People weren't allowed to take pictures in there, so no pictures. I didn't buy any doll from there, but I got some spare hands for my DDH-06 doll Chinami. Also I bought one outfit for her, and a small bust chest piece. x) Chinami used to have medium bust, but that felt a bit too big for my taste.
Chinami is happy with her new outfit and smaller bust!
In addition to Volks store we visited Mandarake. There was also some different types of dolls for sale. Managed to be without buying anything (doll related!) from there.
We also found Azone label shop from Akihabara! It wasn't in our list, but since the dolls are cute we wen't there too. x) That was a big mistake! xD
I hadn't seen Azone Pureneemo dolls irl before that. Only some pictures online, but I hadn't been too interested about them before. So I could say that visiting the store was my first touch to Azone dolls. And they were super cute! Also the price was more affordable than a BJD of big DD.
They also had no pictures-signs in the store, but there was few display shelf that were for taking pictures!
These would be very cute, but I'm not a fan of those huge hands. x)
That red hair on the right. ;___;
And my loot! Woot!
So yes, I bought myself a Pureneemo. It was an impulse buy, but they were so cute!
I bought it in parts, so it was pretty cheap...
I also bought some of those face decal stickers. But they were harder to use than it seemed. x) You have to wet them in water in order to get them to attach. After that they were were slippery! It was hard to get them aligned on the dolls face. x)
But I'll keep trying! Someday my doll will have a pretty face, like others do!
I like the Pureneemo bodies, they are very cute. The joints looked a bit funny at first, but after you get a hang of it they pose well. There is also lots of option hands, those are super cute! I'll have to buy some later. (And more of these dolls too...)
My fist custom Pureneemo on the left. Together with my Bluefairy sugar Taro.
They are about the same size, so they can share clothes!
My first Coroporo Doll
I ordered a Coroporo doll kit for my self as an Christmas present. (Yes I'm so selfish, present for myself! 8D)
If you aren't familiar with these dolls, you can find them here: https://sites.google.com/site/coroporodolls/
Also there is group for them in flickr, check that out too! :)
Since my doll was a kit, it meant that I had to build it from pieces. And that was a 4 hours project for me! xD I did a simple face up in that time too, but still. There were soooo tiny screws, and you had to cut 1mm pieces from 1mm diameter silicone tube, and put those pieces to the screws. And all kinds of fun like that! :D My bf helped me with one hand and after that he said good luck for the next week. x) Thought he came back to help me to build the head mechanism. Wich was pain because the nuts didn't stay in place with the super glue I had. :D
Firts I thought that I wouldn't need the head mechanism  since I was going to give her different eyes than the glass balls that the dolls come with. But the head mechanism attaches the body to the head too! xD Not only hold eyes. Sooo I had to build it too.
Contents of the package opened, and some tools.
Figuring out what part goes where. :D
And tried on the acrylic animetic eyes! Might need one size smaller. o_O'
After few hours I had the body done. :'D
It was quite simple to build, but the pieces were so small!
I kept dropping the screws and silicone tube pieces. x)
While waiting for the glue in the head mechanism nuts to dry,
I made a quick simple face up for her.
After two persons one hour fight with the head mechanism,
the doll is done. xD
Comparison with Pukifee. Coroporo has bigger head and is thinner. :D
Oh Pukifee you so chubby. u___u
My bf said that in comparison Coroporo looks like an alien.
But I think she is cute! u___u
I don't think I'm going to take her head of in any time soon. xD I'd like to have a better face up for her, maybe to send her for someone more talented to paint, but I'm afraid to take the head of ever again. xD If I would have been smart I'd have taken a pic of the insides of the head, but I forgot. Pics were taken by phone anyway, so not too pretty. :D
But despite the building process, I love her! She is very cute and just what I waited for. :D
Now she needs clothes! At the moment she is wearing one Pukipuki dress I have knit, but it's a bit short. x)
LDoll 2012 aftermath
LDoll festival was held in Lyon last weekend. As you may know If you saw my last post I participated there as a private seller, sharing a booth with Khrestel aka. Hooked. I had my side of the table named Yarnstack, which is also a name of this blog and my Etsy. Yay!
LDoll 2012
Picture of my side of the table.
Derpster promoting my crochet hats.
As you can see I didn't have too much stuff to sell, but I was still quite pleased with what I had managed to prepare in a short notice - It wasn't too many months before LDoll when Khrestel asked me if I'd like to share a table with her. I was very happy about the option anyway!
I noticed that I should have made more and different hats in different sizes. Now most of my hats were for tinies and many people asked for bigger ones, or different color or shape. :D
But now I know what to do for next year!
Pukipuki size wasn't the best go with the knit wear either. I might be alone with this love for tiny dolls. x) Next time I know to make more for bigger dolls too.
Those funny animal hats were good product, I sold 10 of my 14 hats on the first day. Sunday was more quiet in all the ways, but I was still only left with two hats to bring back home. I have more leftover Pukipuki dresses and pullovers thought. I'll be listing them to my Etsy soon. :)
All in all the LDoll festival was really nice experience again. I bought a bunch of clothes from different sellers to my dollies. Also I'm very happy that I found a pretty pair of Enchanted dolls eyes for Misa. She got two new wigs too from Jpop Dolls, what a spoiled dolly! @__@ Not to mention about the clothes she got.
Misa
Misa with her new ED eyes, and a pretty shirt made by Uninu!
Crochet hat is made by me. :3
I bought one doll too. Or it might not be counted as a real BJD, but who cares!
Sir Derpington is the coolest fish ever!
Sir Derpington I
Presenting you; Sir Derpington!
I passed the booth once only looking at these creatures and thought "Nooo I don't need one of those, I have Derpster already...". But I just couldn't get over these creatures and I had to go back to get one. :D This is an artist made doll, the creator is called pandalilou. Or Tendres Chimeres as their blog is called. Pity that their blog is in French! ;__; Luckily she has also dA.
I'm so happy with my little fellow. :3 Illves already agreed that she can do the painting job for Sir Derpington. I can't wait to have him finished! I think I want him to be turquoise or something with some cool pattern. And then black top hat and little monocle.
I have to go shopping for fishbowl for him and decorate it in appropriate way for a Sir fish. u__u
LDoll gave me also a final push towards my small dolly dream, Blue Fairy tiny!
Particularly a Pocket Fairy Taro girl with sugar body. I ordered her yesterday. :3
I bought a set of clothes, two wigs and two pairs of shoes in Pocket Fairy sugar size from LDoll, so of course I need the dolly too. u__u
There  was Taro for display at Blue Fairy's booth at LDoll, but sadly they didn't have any for sell there. Only baked cuties, but I prefer NS so I had to order my little one afterwards. :)
I have been secretly adoring cute sugar sized girlies after I have seen them in pics and IRL too. I'm quite sure that Elina's and Jesmo's little cuties have had some influence on me. u__u Not to mention Xaya's army of Blue Fairies in particular. Maybe someday I'll get a bigger Blue Fairy too. :)
Sarang would be cute.
Soo anyways! Enough mumbling.
I took more pics too, you can see them at my Flickr
Thank you everyone for being so awesome! <3
I have already started planning for next years LDoll and what kind of knit and crochet stuff I should make this time. Nothing has been decided 100% yet, but at least I'm totally going there and if everything goes ok I'm participating as a private seller again with some fellow Finns!
Do I really have to wait for a whole year before next LDoll?!? DD:
LDoll is getting closer...
And I'm so behind with my plans! D:
I won't have too much things to sell there. Buut I'll be happy with what I can finish on time and won't be upset about it. (At least not too much.) I knew that this will be a busy period for me anyway, but I decided to attend LDoll as a seller since I was asked. I'm sharing a booth with Khrestel, so it's not so bad if I don't have so much stuff to sell. :)
I'll share with you some preparation things I have done!
Best thing first!
I got my minicards from MOO!
Backside!
I like these so much. These I ordered from a promotion that MOO had with Etsy, thus the Etsy logo. :)
I also ordered another set with different pics, but that one has not arrived yet. It should arrive before 25th of September according to the company, so they will still make it before LDoll.
I thought for a long time what text to put in the card. And if I should insert my real name or not. Well, there it is now. @__@
At least I can hand out cards if I don't have anything to sell? 8D
Displays!
Here is some displays that I got online. They are actually jewellery displays, but I think they will work quite ok for my needs. :) I also bought huge amount of barbie cloth hangers! x) They work well for my tiny clothes.
I think I will use that round display for Pullip/Dal dresses, and the other one for tiny BJD clothing. Pukipuki things to the upper row and Pukifee to down. :) Thought I only have two Pukifee dresses so far. :S I got a bit carried away with the Pukipuki stuf. :D
Gasp! Hurry, hurry! Knit! Knit!
What comes to displaying hats... I have no idea yet! :D Maybe I'll just put them to the table without anything special. I have been making really simple hats for tiny dollies, so I can also have some cheaper small items to sell. But I like these tiny hats, they are so cute with staring bead eyes. :) I hope that people will like them too. @__@
I'm sorry that all work samples in the pic are Pukipuki sized, I took the pic only to show the displays and didn't think that I could have shown more of my works too. :S
I have still so much to do, and so many knit pieces to finish. I run out of snap closures, so now I have maaany dresses waiting for snaps. :D And I hate sewing on snaps! u__u'
